On January 28, 1997, Sejm Deputy Marshal Olga Krzyżanowska received a delegation from the Legislative Committee of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic.
On the same day, the Czech MPs met with the presidium of the Sejm's Legislative Committee. They were interested in the advancement of work on the new constitution and in the content of the current bill.
During a meeting with representatives of the Europe Agreement Committee, the Czech delegates discussed legislative moves designed to bring the laws of the two countries into line with the European Union legislation.
The Czech delegation also met with Senate Deputy Marshal Zofia Kuratowska.
On January 22, 1997, Sejm Marshal Józef Zych received Solmaz Unaydin, the newly appointed ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Poland.
On the same day, Zych received Amar Belani, the new Algerian ambassador to Poland.
On January 23, the Sejm Marshal received the ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Hyun Won Ahn.
